Celebrity chef will open a new restaurant within a year

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

Time Out Dubai has had their ears very close to the ground recently, and we’ve picked up some exciting vibrations from London in the process…

It seems, chef Gordon Ramsay will be returning to Dubai within the year. This chef cannot get enough of the emirates, having opened his first Dubai restaurant Verre back in 2001, and he now has plans to return with the launch of his second ever Dubai venture.

10 BEST BRUNCHES IN DUBAI

This prolific chef has become one of the UK’s most famous culinary exports, with several Michelin stars, a global network of restaurants, and international TV appearances under his belt. Famously the protégé of the world’s first rock n roll chef, Marco Pierre White; Ramsay has himself been responsible for a number of prominent new chefs. Alongside the likes of Angela Hartnett and Marcus Wareing, Ramsay’s protégés include Jason Atherton. Atherton was responsible for opening Verre at Hilton Dubai Creek Deira, and will now be launching his own Dubai restaurant, Marina Social in September 2015. More Ramsay protégés include former Verre chefs Scott Price and Nick Alvis, who have both since become local celebrities in the UAE.

DUBAI'S BEST RESTAURANTS 2015

With Verre having had such an impact, and a new Ramsay restaurant on the cards for Dubai, we are excited to see the next generation of chef stars that this new restaurant might produce.

While the location of chef Ramsay’s new Dubai restaurant is currently under wraps, we can tell you that Time Out Dubai has a little more up their sleeves for you. Stay tuned and we will be exclusively revealing more in just a few days’ time.
