All our childhood dreams have come true, you can now play giant Monopoly in Dubai.
The popular board game - which is celebrating its 80th anniversary - just got more interactive as it returned to City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates on Tuesday.
Remaining there until June 15, the investment and properties game will give instant prizes to players when they land on certain properties.
Some of the UAE's iconic destinations will pop up for the first time and players will be able to make donations to the humanitarian organisation Red Crescent and help build houses for people in Nepal following the recent earthquake.
A digital meter will show how it's all progressing until the end of the campaign. To ensure shoppers get optimal chances to do good, Monopoly houses will be placed in different locations in the retail location so visitors can make a donation and help build homes, regardless of playing.
If you do want to play however, all you have to do is spend Dhs300 on retail, eating and drink or entertainment at the three destinations involved.
Once that's done exchange your receipts at the board registration desk for a token to enter the game.
Everyone begins with 50 points and takes a turn to throw the large dice and move to the square indicated by the number on it. Each property square will have a designated points value which will be added to the individual's scoreboard.
Don't expect the whole thing to take hours, like an intense session at home could do though. One game lasts roughly 10 minutes and every winner gets a gift voucher prize worth Dhs500.
Mr. Monopoly is your Master of Ceremony; a Gamefacilitator will then help participants move onto the next square and the Jailer will be capturing pictures of the players - so no cheating.
Sunday to Thursday players can use their tokens within 24 hours from the redemption date; and on Fridays and Saturdays, tokens can be used on any given weekday. You can on;y collect four tokens per day though so there are only so many times you can play from 12pm to 10pm from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 12pm to midnight Thursday and Friday.
