What you need to know about transport in and around Dubai during Ramadan

The RTA's head of marketing and corporate communication, Moza Al Marri, reveals transport and parking plans in Dubai for Ramadan , June 18 - July 17.

“All stations on the Red Line will open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5.30am to 12am. On Thursday the service will be from 5.30am to 1am, and on Friday from 1pm to 1am. All stations on the Green Line will open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5.50am to 12am, on Thursday from 5.50am to 1am, and on Friday from 1pm to 1am.”

Metro Feeder Stations

“Metro Feeder Stations will start business at 5.15am and close at 12.30am from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 5.15am to 1.15am on Thursday and Friday. It is noteworthy that the operation of all Metro stations’ feeder bus service will be matching to the timing of the metro service hours.”


“In the main stations the service will start at 5am and end at 12am. In subsidiary stations the service will operate from 5.40am to 10.30pm, and in other stations from 5am to 12.30am except for Route C01; which is operating around-the-clock.”

Commercial transport and inter-city bus services

“Main stations will be operational 24-hours a day, and subsidiary stations will start service at 5.30am and continue to 12am. Deira City Centre, and Karama stations will operate from 6.10am up to 10.15pm. External stations will be open 24-hours a day, Abu Dhabi Station will operate from 5am to 12.30am, Fujairah station will be open from 5.55am until 9.30pm, Ajman station will be open from 6am to 10pm, and Hatta station will operate from 5.30am up to 9.30pm.”

Customer service centres

“The customer service centres will deliver services at different times from Sunday to Thursday; where Umm Al Ramool, Barsha, Deira and Karama Centres will open from 9am to 2pm, and Tawar, Manara, Awir centrEs will open from 9am to 5pm, and Jumeirah (JBR) Centre will open from 10am to 3pm.”


“The fee will be activated in all car parks coded A and B, except the Fish Market and Tecom Zone (Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City), and the Knowledge Village, from Saturday to Thursday, from 8am to 1pm, and from 7pm to 12am. The fee will be activated in the Fish Market coded E throughout the week from 8am to 1pm, and from 4pm to 11pm. Tecom and Knowledge Village parking coded F will have the fee system activated from 8am to 6pm from Saturday to Thursday. The fee will remain active in the multi-level parking terminals 24 hours a day.”
