Was the joke on us for the Paris Hilton Dubai plane crash stunt?

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

The world watched on in horror as we saw Paris Hilton involved in a Dubai plane crash prank recently.

And now it turns out the heiress may have been privy to details of how her air journey was to pan out.

According to a new report, the 34-year-old star was part of a huge deal that possibly earned her a cool sum in the million dollar region.

The popular video as part of a reality show, sees the famous blonde screaming as viewers believe she has been fooled into thinking her life is in danger.

However, American website TMZ has obtained a document which states otherwise.

The papers suggest Paris knew about the hosting company’s intentions to make the plane dive and twist as she got an aerial tour of the city, or at least her people did.

Additionally, it turns out other US celebrities had been offered big money to take part before the Hilton hotel heiress accepted the terms.

The site reveals that the document states, ‘We will act as if something is going wrong and ask all passengers to jump off the plane!!! Of course everyone will panic, we'll be having skydivers in disguise with us on board.

‘We will monitor the funny reactions from our celebrity guest when they fear jumping off the plane.’

The report adds that Dubai official authorities – who apparently provided them with security – were supervising the special entertainment project.

Paris told TMZ in a recent video that the pilot ‘took it too far’.

In the clip where she is on Ramez in Control, Paris can be seen screaming as host Ramez Galal masterminds the operation where she is scared of the aircraft plummeting to the ground.

At one point the Egyptian actor can even be glimpsed sniggering to himself as she yells, ‘I don’t want to jump!’ as part of the MBC show which airs every Ramadan.

The clip shows her during a trip to the emirate after she attends the opening of a new hotel. After few minutes of the plane being in the air, the pilot begins doing stunts that make it appear as if the plane is crashing.

Before long they open up the side door and men donning SkyDive Dubai gear begin plunging to the ground.

Although she is offered the parachute, she refuses to jump from the jet but it’s all good because the plane soon safely returns to the runway.
