There’s been talk of something wet and wild arriving Dubai next month and now we have details of what action will be going on when the City Slide arrives.

The 1,000-foot feature will take up home at Dubai Autodrome in Motor City in September for two days and we expect a massive turnout for the inflatable ride which will see fun-seekers hop onto blow-up rings before they take to the water and go.

With the heat reaching around 43 degrees this week, the news will surely get fans of waterparks and the like, super excited for when City Slide – which has also taken place in England, Mexico, Germany and other European countries – gets to the emirate.

To make sure everyone gets their chance to enjoy the cooling activity in the desert heat, the slide will have a double lane and be operating in two-hour slots from 11am to 11pm. During those 12 hours there will be other exciting opportunities going on of course, including a DJ area and gig going on plus water balloon and gun battles as well as some smaller water park action.

Bring the kids down but little ones must be at least five years old to join in the event organised by Tamquest Entertainment. If you’re not adventurous enough to get on the slide grab some food and drink from the stands that will be around and soak up the vibrant atmosphere as your friends and loved ones slide away on the soapy jets.

Exact dates and ticket prices are soon to be announced.

Those wondering quite where the speed and adrenaline buzz can come from in a city built on notoriously flat terrain, worry not. Motor City, with its long, looping race track is ideal.

'Dubai has seen a very hot summer this year and we want to give people a cooler experience to end their summers as an unforgettable one”, said Zona, Event Director of Tamquest Entertainment. 'We want people to get out of their homes and spend an entire day with their families and friends.'
