The new restaurant in Dubai will be Fairmont Dubai, and will be one of the most fashionable places to be seen

New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, St Barths, St Tropez, Miami... and now Dubai.

One of the most glamorous restaurant brands in the world has confirmed it is coming to Dubai, bringing with it 'the classic south of France "joie de vivre"'.

Bistrot Bagatelle launched in the trendy Manhattan Meatpacking District in 2008 and has developed a feirce reputation as a place for both refined dining and a right good time. It quickly became a celebrity hangout and can claim to be one of the best places to brunch in the USA.

Residents of Dubai can sample both at Fairmont Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road in the coming weeks.

Described in official information as 'encompassing classic Mediterranean food and chic Parisian décor... with an ambience reminiscent of a Provençal Brasserie'. We'll be the judge when we send our own photographer round for exclusive images soon.

Bagatelle in New York hit headlines in 2014 when rolling out a new menu item costing an eye-watering $1,000 (Dhs3,672). So what makes The Mauboussin Mega Sundae quite so expensive? Perhaps it is the high-end pink bubbles sorbet, or the chocolate truffles, macarons and chocolate Russian beverage sauce? Perhaps, but the gilded brownies with edible gold leaf probably bumps it up a few dollars more. Oh, and it also comes with a completely inedible ring made of wide gold and black steel.

Here's to tucking in soon.

Stay close to Time Out Dubai for the first sneak peek images of the venue in the coming weeks.
