Comedian Dara O’Briain is coming to Dubai on St Patrick's Day 2016.
The 43-year-old revealed his plans to bring his Crowd Tickler to the Middle East on Twitter last week before official information was made available today.
Organisers Done Events, who have bought Jack Dee and Michael McIntyre to the region in recent times, will once again put on the show at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Described as 'one of the most charasmatic, intelligent, fast-talking and downright funny' stand-ups on the circuit, the Irishman will be in town on March 17.
'Surely we could have sold out this one show on any day of the year but the occurrence of St. Patrick’s Day really couldn’t offer a more appropriate setting for what will be a full house of laughter,' organisers said.
O'Briain shot to fame as the host of popular British panel show Mock The Week, and has gone on to star as the face of the likes of Live At The Apollo, The Apprentice You're Fired, and even the BAFTA Awards.
His latest tour has received race reviews by the press in the UK, with the Guardian calling it 'a masterclass in intelligent, no-frills stand-up'.
Time Out originally broke the news of the show - and were subsequently retweeted by the star - last week when he responded to a fan who was interested in seeing him in Europe.
@PenTroll asked Dara whether a new DVD he was promoting contained similar material to the upcoming shows he is to perform. That’s when the TV star added that he’ll be in the Middle East in 2016.
“@daraobriain is the one you will tour Norway with? Cause then I will hold off watching it until I get to see you :),” the fan wrote. To which he responded, “yes, the same show will tour Norway, Sweden, Holland, Belgium and Dubai next year. So, yeah, don’t ruin it!”
Dara last performed at The Irish Village in Dubai in 2011.
