Dubai Gets Tasty

Pleasure your palate at Taste of Dubai

Super chef Gary Rhodes is convinced the Taste of Dubai could be the biggest food festival in the world one day - and if the gastronomical goodies on display last night are anything to go by, he might just be on to something.

Time Out
headed down to Media City's Ampitheatre for the festival's launch last night and sampled some of what's to come over the next few days, and we recommend you get involved.

If there's a Dubai restaurant you have been meaning to try then the Taste of Dubai is the perfect way to decide whether you want to book that table.

Every eaterie you've ever loved, fancied or never tried has its own corner offering its amuse bouche specialties for your palatal pleasure.

Of course it wouldn't be Dubai without some injection of celebrity and it wouldn't be a food festival without an appearance from the ubiquitous Gary Rhodes.

Along with other celebrity chefs Rhodes has his own cooking station at the festival, and, after last night's passionate opening speech, seems to be the event's unofficial compère.

If you're heading down over the weekend there's plenty to rouse your taste buds but we recommend you try to catch the grand Rhodes v Ramsay cook-off which is a guaranteed palate-pleaser.
