All-new outdoor drive-in cinema to launch at MBR City

Can’t get enough of Dubai’s drive-in cinemas? Get ready for a brand-new one coming to Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR City).

Dubai’s Azizi Developments has revealed plans for an all-new outdoor drive-in cinema at its residential community and lifestyle hub, Riviera.

Set up nearby the upcoming Meydan One Mall and the Meydan Racecourse, the new cinema is due to open at the end of 2020. It will have space for more than 25 cars, and will adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Tickets will be priced at Dhs150 per vehicle, with two people allowed in a car during movie screenings.

Audiences can expect all kinds of movie genres, from family-friendly flicks to thrillers that will have everyone at the edge of their, well, car seat.

Outside visitors and of course, residents of Riviera will all be welcomed to check out their favourite blockbusters.

“Our decision of launching an outdoor cinema comes in an effort to bring communities together,” said executive director of sales and marketing at Azizi Developments Nima Khojasteh.

“Real estate developers need to be innovative and add features to their offerings that encourage communal activities, bringing together residents and the community at large. Moreover, such activities will further push the ROI’s of properties and attract investors. We are now in communication with different suppliers to finalise this exciting plan.”

Set in the heart of MBR City, Riviera has 16,000 residences spread across 71 mid-rise buildings, so expect plenty of visitors to the upcoming cinema.
