Here’s how you can perform live at Yasalam 2017

Emerging Talent Competition looks to find the region’s next best band

The search for the GCC’s biggest next music star is on, with the return of the Emerging Talent Competition.

Entries are now open for ETC, which is entering its third year and has seen previous winners take the stage at Yasalam, the massive music festival accompanying the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Now, the stage is set for another batch of musicians to enter the competition and show what they’ve got.

Aspiring bands and artists can now enter by submitting recordings of their material and answering a few questions about themselves, their aspirations and their participation in the contest.

To get through to the final, ten shortlisted artists or bands will receive guidance through workshops and training programmes to help focus their talents and ready them for an acoustic session at Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s biggest shopping centre.

Judges will determine the top three entrants to go through to the final for the chance to perform at Yasalam 2017, as well as training and mentoring from industry pros, plus a year-long residency at The Village, du Arena throughout 2017 and 2018.

A fourth artist will receive a wild card entry through to the final, which is determined via popular vote, with fans now able to vote for their favourite act.
