Emirati Women’s Day talk from UAE's leading female minds

We’re always up for a bit of girl power, and when better to get some of the best female minds in the region together than on Emirati Women’s Day?

Flow Talk Series is doing just that, and on Tuesday August 28 a UAE champion weightlifter, an air traffic controller-come-pilot, a business mastermind and a “mumtrepreneur” will be combining their genius for one powerful talk to celebrate the diverse contribution Emirati women have made in various fields.

In what promises to be one of the most inspirational Flow Talk Series editions to date, the free-to-attend and open-to-all session at Flow, the healthy eating hub in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, will celebrate the diverse contribution Emirati women have made in various fields – from sport to industry.

The talk will be led by Amna Al Haddad, the UAE’s champion weightlifter and motivational speaker, who will open up the floor to panellists before directing a question and answer session.

The panellists include Amna Al Bahar, the first of two Emirati CrossFit athletes to compete at the 2018 CrossFit Games in Madrid, who also holds the title of the Fittest Emirati 2017.

Second in the line-up is Sara Al Madani, the youngest member of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who runs her own fashion label, Rouge Couture, Emirati fusion restaurant and Shabarbush.

She will be joined by Nouf Al Afifi, one of the first and only Emirati air-traffic controllers who also boasts a pilot license from the Emirates Flying School.
The final panellist is Aisha Alkhaja, Founder and creative director of Little Wren, an online boutique designed for the modern family.

Championed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Emirati Women’s Day recognises the contribution and ongoing role UAE national women have played in the sustainable development of their country.

Free. Tue 28 Aug, 6pm-7pm. Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road (055 293 4430).
