DRIFT Beach Dubai reopens to kick off beach season

Missing the days of soaking up the sun on a lounger with drink in hand? Reminisce no more, as DRIFT Beach, the popular beachfront destination at One&Only Royal Mirage is set to swing open its doors tomorrow (Friday August 31).

Luxury beach club DRIFT Beach Dubai is returning for its second season, which means we can once again put on our beachwear, slap on some sunblock and relax at its infinity pool.

Keen on offering its guests a “laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle”, eager sunseekers can spend the day from 10.30am until 8pm on the various types of loungers, all of which come with a cold towel, a seasonal fruit bowl and a bottle of still or sparkling water.

Sun loungers are priced at Dhs300 on the weekend (Dhs250 on weekdays), while the luxury island beds set by the infinity pool go from Dhs1,500 for two, along with a bottle of sparkling grape thrown in.

Want the VIP treatment? From Dhs1,000 for two, guests will get a private cabana along with a bottle of house grape.

That’s not all, as the DRIFT Restaurant and Bar is returning too, headed by chef de cuisine Maxime Le Van, along with his team’s take on classical rovençal cuisine.

“DRIFT has attracted a loyal following of guests who opt for our classic laid-back vibe and effortless-chic hideaway setting,” said General Manager of DRIFT Beach Dubai Guillaume Ferraz.

The resident DJ will be playing chilled-out beats to start the party as the sun sets every weekend, so you know DRIFT Beach Dubai is kicking off beach season in style.

And its a weekend of beach club reopenings, as this weekend (Saturday September 1) also sees Nikki Beach throwing open its doors for the return of its Saturday brunch.

Save us a sun lounger.
Opens Fri Aug 31. Pool and Beach: Open 10.30am-8pm; Restaurant: 12.30pm-5.30pm. One&Only Royal Mirage, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, www.driftbeachdubai.com (04 315 2200).
