With winter rolling around and the summer temperatures finally cooling down across Dubai, what better time is there to chill?
And the folks over at free-spirited alternative music festival Kaynouna have got us right in the mood by announcing their season opening on Friday November 2.
Secret Garden at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel will be welcoming international and regional artists and DJs as part of The Art of Chilling, which marks the return of the multicultural music spectacular.
It all kicks off at 4pm and goes on until 3am, meaning you'll have 11 solid hours of relaxation, with tickets available from Dhs150.
Dutch composer and DJ Matthew Dekay will take to the stage in a stellar line-up that also includes the chilled electronic vibes of Armen Miran, alongside amazing live shows from Pandhora and Dawa.
Also on the line-up are Iranian-Armenian DJ Patrik Khach, producer Sarkis Mikael and Emad Ayash.
As usual, Kaynouna (which translates from Arabic as “being, existence and life”) will have relaxation areas with hammocks and cushions as well as mini chakra healing stations scattered throughout to nurture that chill.
Wondering what to wear? This event says no to dress codes, so rock up in whatever makes you feel comfortable.
The organisers add: "To chill doesn’t necessarily mean to be laid-back. To chill is to be free of thought, concerns and judgement.
"To allow yourself to be you and others to be themselves without judgement. Only then can you really enjoy the music to the fullest and dance like no one is watching."
Now that's something we can get behind – we'll see you by the hammocks.
From Dhs150. 4pm-3am, Fri Nov 2. The Secret Garden, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Garhoud. For tickets, go to https://dubai.platinumlist.net/event-tickets/72119/kaynouna-art-of-chilling.
