As if we needed another reason to watch all the action at the Dubai Rugby 7s this year, but the team is giving us one anyway.
The beloved Emirates Airline Rugby 7s has announced a new three-day music festival featuring a list of top artists – from the hugely popular So Solid Crew to Britney Spears tribute performers all the way from Las Vegas.
From Thursday November 29 to Saturday December 1, Rugby fans can head to the Rugby Village to boogie down at the upgraded venue’s three new music areas.
You can catch Lisa Maffia and Romeo from the English grime and hip-hop group performing in the intriguingly named “Green Room”, a multi-sensory dome structure. You know, the people that brought us the ever-popular 21 Seconds.
That’s not all though, as the venue will see chart-topping dance act K-Klaas and international DJs spinning records from party brands including Candypants, Cirque le Soir, SIN events and Clockwork Orange.
So, where will Britney be? The tribute artist, actually named Britney Spears, and her dancers have come all the way from the entertainment capital of the world to entertain fans in the stands at pitch one throughout the weekend.
They’ll be performing some of Princess of Pop’s most popular songs, so expect everything from Oops I Did It Again, Baby One More Time, Toxic and much more.
For those who want more of a nostalgia trip, you’ll want to hear get yourself down to the open-air “Green Space” stage, where fans can listen to high energy rock from by Flash, a Queen Tribute on Friday and Faux-Asis, an Oasis Tribute band on Saturday.
If you’re looking for more partying, the Green Tavern Tent has you covered, featuring a “House Party” with live DJs playing current and retro hits.
