Dry night announced for Dubai

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce has confirmed that there will be a dry night across Dubai from 5pm on Monday November 19 until 6pm on Tuesday November 20.

During this period, hotels and restaurants across the city will only serve soft drinks.

Dubai’s dry day occurs one day after the public and private sector holiday announced for Sunday November 18, which grants workers across the UAE a three-day weekend.

The city’s next public holiday occurs shortly afterwards, with UAE National Day taking place on Sunday December 2, creating another three-day weekend in Dubai.

While many will be booking quick weekend escapes, there are loads of brilliant hotel deals in the UAE right now, perfect for a relaxing staycation – check the best of them right here.

Dubai Design Week is also taking place over the long weekend (ending on Saturday November 17) – here’s what to expect from a week packed with creative opportunity.

Alternatively, use the weekend as an opportunity to eat your way through all 80 of Dubai’s most-ordered dishes or get adventurous and sample some of Dubai’s best (and most unusual) camel dishes.
