Jobs in Dubai to increase in 2019 – and these sectors will get the biggest boost

Looking for a new career in 2019? Well, there’s never been a better time to look for a job in Dubai.

According to the Cooper Fitch 2019 Salary Guide, the UAE job market is set to improve this year, with hiring expected to rise by 10 to 15 per cent across the country.

It is thought that the banking and legal sectors will get the biggest boost.

But that’s not all though, as demand for developers and programmers, web technologies and mobile applications is “on the rise” – along with salespeople and consultants.

The report was based on observations made in 2018 with both job seekers and clients in the region by subject matter experts.

Cooper Fitch chief executive Trefor Murphy said: “In the previous years, the market saw a significant restructuring in organisations, particularly in the banking sector which affected employment rates and adversely influenced salary levels."

“We do foresee an improvement in employment positions for 2019.”
