Take the ferry from Dubai Marina to The Dubai Mall

The new route offers panoramic views of the city skyline

Dubai Marina and The Dubai Mall are two of the city's most popular tourist hotspots – and now you can get a ferry between the two.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new service connecting the two lifestyle destinations and we can't wait to try it.

The journey will last approximately one hour and 20 minutes one-way and offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline.

It takes in The Palm to the skyscrapers along Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal after leaving from Dubai Marina ferry station, located behind the Dubai Marina Mall.

The ferry service then arrives at Al Wajeha Al Maeyah station, where a complimentary shuttle service will take guests to The Dubai Mall and back.

Tickets can be purchased from Burj Khalifa's At the Top, from the guest service desks at The Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall or burjkhalifa.ae as well as from the ferry stations.

They are priced Dhs68.25 per adult and Dhs52.50 for children from five to 12 years.

The service leaves from Dubai Marina at 3.15pm and 4.30pm – returning from The Dubai Mall at 4.45pm and 6pm daily.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, chief executive of Public Transport Agency, said: “The marine transport network of Dubai is gaining considerable interest among visitors and residents, especially following the ongoing promotion of the Dubai Ferry service by At the Top, Burj Khalifa.

“The new service will add to the delight of users, who can cover two of the most popular malls effortlessly while enjoying scenic vistas of the city.”

In total, RTA has a fleet of nine ferry boats shuttling between eight stations including Ghubaiba, Marina Mall, Jaddaf, Water Canal, Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Wajeha Al Maeyah, Marasi and the Dubai Design District.
