Dubai hotels voted among the best in the world

Two Dubai hotels have been voted among the best in the world, according to a new study.

One&Only The Palm and Raffles Dubai are on TripAdvisor's list of the top 25 luxury properties across the globe.

The travel company used reviews from millions of users to calculate the rankings, which are released each year.

Visitors praised One&Only The Palm's "amazing" staff and romantic location amid lush, landscaped greenery.

At the pyramid-shaped Raffles Dubai, guests were particularly impressed by the "beautiful" interiors and large balconies.

Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications at TripAdvisor, said: "This year's Travelers' Choice awards for Hotels recognize thousands of exceptional accommodations that received the highest marks for value, service, amenities and overall experience from travelers worldwide.

"Whether you're looking for a great value hotel in a popular city, a luxurious beachfront splurge, or a romantic honeymoon getaway, millions of reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community informed this list of winners that will inspire and help travelers plan and book their next amazing trip."

Dubai has been ranking highly in a lot of surveys and studies recently.

Just last week, Dubai was ranked one of the world's best places to live by researchers at Resonance Consultancy.

The study praised the good quality of life here in the city, as well as the pleasant environment.

And earlier this month, a separate survey by HSBC ranked the UAE above the US, UK, Hong Kong and Australia as one of the best places to work.

In other words, it's a great time to be in Dubai.
One&Only The Palm, West Crescent, Palm Jumeirah, (04 440 1010). Raffles Dubai, Sheikh Rashid Road, Wafi City, (04 324 8888).
