The Greatest Showman star joins Dubai super show line-up

Are you a fan of The Greatest Showman to the point you know all the words off by heart? Then you’re going to love who is coming to perform at Dubai’s mega-gig later this month.

Star of the hit musical Loren Allred is joining a host of A-list musicians at “The Assembly: A Global Teacher Prize Concert” on Saturday March 23, and she’ll be singing her breakout hits.

Taking place at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, fans can expect Allred to sing both Never Enough and This is Me from The Greatest Showman soundtrack – the highest selling album in 2018 with over 1.3 million copies sold in the US alone. Yes, it’s that good.

Allred first rose to fame in 2012 in season 3 of the US version of The Voice TV talent show, with Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine as her coach.

The Pittsburgh-born singer will be joined by top acts Little Mix, Rita Ora and Liam Payne as part of the Varkey Foundation tribute to teachers all around the world for the unsung work they do every day.

She said: “I am honoured to join the line-up for the inaugural Global Teacher Prize Concert. It’s so important to sing the praises of teachers as they do such valuable work, all over the world, in preparing young people to make their own future.

“This concert is a wonderful way to share this vital message with the next generation, raising their consciousness through the power of music”.

But that’s not all, as the musicians will be joined by the top ten finalists of the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize, where their inspirational stories will be shared with a live audience.

One exceptional teacher will be in with the chance of winning the grand prize of US$1 million (Dhs3.67 million), all to shine a spotlight on the important role teachers play in society.

This is definitely not a show to miss, so make sure to get your tickets from 800Tickets, with prices starting at Dhs350.
