Fancy a round of golf but the increasingly hot days putting you off? Emirates Golf Club has just launched a new deal that’s right up your street.

The Sheikh Zayed Road golf club is offering up a summer night golf and meal deal. Golfers who play either nine or 18 holes on the Faldo course will get a Dhs65 voucher to spend on food at Spike Bar.

So that’s dishes like chicken wings, nachos, burgers, deep pan pizzas and even a full English breakfast.

The offer is valid on weekdays from 7pm, so book a post-work round for your mates now.

Emirates Golf Club has also just installed some brand-new LED lights on the Faldo Course, so you’ll be able to see even more clearly after dark (though we’re sure your putting is on point, anyway).

And if you want to get an idea of how the pros do it, Dubai hosting a historic sporting event next month – the first-ever day to night golf tournament.

The free-to-attend Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic will see 56 pros, 35 of the leading players on the Ladies’ European Tour and 21 tournament invitees from other tours or social media sensations, and three amateurs go head-to-head under the floodlights at the course designed by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo.

It will be the first professional day-night golf tournament of its kind when it commences on Wednesday May 1. Two of the three rounds will be played from day-to-night.

Players expected to compete include Shanshan Feng (tournament winner in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016), Angel Yin (2017) and France’s Camille Chevalier who won the Ladies European Tour’s Rookie of the Year.
Dhs295 (nine holes), Dhs475 (18 holes). Sun-Thu, 7pm onwards. Emirates Golf Club, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 417 9842).
