Rent and property prices are always a popular topic of conversation in Dubai.

And now new research has revealed that now might be the best time for buyers to invest in a new apartment.

According to Cavendish Maxwell’s Dubai House Price Index, property prices in the city have become an average of 13.2 percent more affordable over the past year.

The areas registering the highest price changes include Emirates Living, Silicon Oasis, JLT and IMPZ.

The report shows over the past two months the average apartment price has gone from Dhs1.8 million to Dhs1.7 million.

Despite the changes in apartment prices, average villa/townhouse prices held their prices with a stable Dhs4.5 million.
