Diverse Choreography celebrates ten years with Dubai Opera show

Award-winning performing arts school Diverse Choreography is celebrating a whopping ten years with not one, but two shows taking place at Dubai Opera on Friday June 21.

Founded by Lisa and Scott Marshall over a decade ago, Diverse Choreography puts kids from six to 18 years old through their paces with all aspects of dance and theatre under one permanently raised roof. They now teach over 600 students, with former students studying professionally around the world and performing in West End shows such as Mamma Mia! in London.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the show will encompass showbiz history of the past decade, within the themes ‘then’ and ‘now’ paying tribute to the history of Diverse Choreography.

‘Then’ will take you back to some of the school’s most well-received numbers from past ten productions – expect everything from the Spice Girls to Chicago’s “Cellblock Tango”.

‘Now’ focuses on the future of the performing arts school – get ready for some Beyoncé, a tap tribute to the West End hit musical 42nd Street and more.

You catch the show on Friday June 21 at either 2pm or 7pm and tickets start from Dhs175 – and if the past ten years are anything to go by, it’s going to be a winning experience.

We’ll see you there.
From Dhs175. Fri Jun 21, 2pm & 7pm. Dubai Opera, Downtown Dubai, www.diversechoreography.com.
