UAE reveals 12-year plan to improve lives of residents

The UAE has revealed a 12-year plan to improve the lives of residents across the country.

The National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 aims to ensure the long-term quality of life of residents in the UAE, and support UAE Vision 2021.

It will help to transition the country towards a knowledge-based economy, protect public safety, strengthen family ties and improve the quality of life of residents.

By 2031, the strategy hopes to have established a developed country, cohesive society with prosperous individuals.

It is based on three main sections including individuals, society and the country.

Within these sections are 14 components and nine strategic objectives including enhancing people's wellbeing by promoting healthy and active lifestyles, promoting good mental health and adopting positive thinking.

A total of 90 supporting initiatives targeting more than 40 priority areas are also included.

While exact details of the schemes have not been announced yet, it's great news for all of us living and working in the UAE. We're excited to find out more.
