“Let Her Go” singer Passenger coming to Dubai

Passenger, the multi-award winning, platinum-selling, multi-billion-stream hitmaker behind the global smash hit Let Her Go will be performing in Dubai later this year, it has been announced.

Otherwise known as Michael Rosenberg, Passenger will be hitting the stage of Dubai Opera on Wednesday November 20, for a one-night-only concert.

You’ll most certainly know Passenger from this:

Let Her Go topped charts around the world and gained massive recognition after hitting nearly 2.5 billion (with a B) plays on YouTube a billion streams on Spotify. It was nominated for British Single of the Year at the 2014 BRIT Awards and also earned him an Ivor Novello award.

But he’s about much more than just that one song, with Passenger having released more than ten studio records in 11 years – with his latest record Sometimes It’s Something, Sometimes It’s Nothing At All recorded in Abbey Road with a string quartet.

He’s one of the busiest men in music, and he’s heading here for one night only, so don’t miss it. Tickets go on sale at 5pm on Thursday July 11, with prices starting from Dhs195. There’s a 20 percent discount until Thursday July 25 on VIP1 and 2 seating areas.

“After incredible concerts by truly great singer-songwriters like James Morrison, Rufus Wainwright and Suzanne Vega amongst others, it’s very exciting to be able to announce that next up at Dubai Opera is the phenomenal Passenger, whose music is known the world-over after a decade of extraordinary solo success,” said Chief Executive of Dubai Opera, Jasper Hope (who won the Outstanding Contribution Award at this year’s Music & Nightlife Awards).

That’s not all that’s going on at Dubai Opera, with Disney and Broadway singer Lea Salonga returning to Dubai for the first time since her sold out shows back in 2017.
Dhs195 (tickets on sale Thu Jul 11 at 5pm). Wed Nov 20. Dubai Opera, Downtown Dubai, www.dubaiopera.com.
