During Eid al-Adha it Emirates Airline will be serving a range of different meals on flights, specially for passengers celebrating the holiday.

On flights taking place between Sunday August 11 and Wednesday 14, the airline has said that traditional Arabic and Emirati dishes will be served on board its flights to celebrate one of the most significant holidays in the calendar.

In the Emirates A380 lounge passengers will be greeted with an Eid menu and traditional Middle Eastern hospitality, including Arabic coffee, date cake and a selection of pastries. There will also be special chocolates from local chocolatier Forrey & Galland, for passengers in premium classes.

The dinner menu will vary depending on which cabin you’re sat. If you’re in Economy you’ll receive a menu featuring chicken or lamb machbous, with a date cake for dessert.

Business and First class cabins will get to choose between lamb or chicken ouzi, the traditional slow-cooked dish with rice, nuts and raisins. Emirati king fish will also be served on special routes over Europe and Africa.

For dessert, you can get different ones including chocolate fondant with labneh ice cream, date and almond nammoura (a semolina cake with orange flower or rose water flavor), or khabees service with Arabic coffee sauce and pistachio cream.

Despite this weekend looking like it’s going to be one of the busiest of the year, we’re tempted to book a flight just for the food alone.
