There are now exclusively cheaper taxis to Dubai's Global Village

If you’re heading to the grand opening of Dubai’s Global Village today (Tuesday October 29), you won’t have to pay the full taxi rate, if you use a certain app.

RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has recently signed an agreement with the popular multi-cultural theme park, offering visitors exclusive taxis to and from the destination.

The best part? The taxis are more affordable than regular RTA taxis, meaning cheaper trips for families around Dubai to enjoy the park’s 24th season. We like the sound of that.

The exclusive transit service doesn’t just have a fleet of regular taxis, as family taxis, limos, Amira limos, convertible limos, and limo bikes will also be available.

To get in on the service, park visitors will need to book their trip using the DTC app. Once in the taxi, passengers will be taken to assembly points to the entry points of Global Village through commercial buses.

The new initiative aims to improve customers’ experience, for more affordable journeys and faster traveling times.

The new season will also see “massive improvements” in the infrastructure, including more parking space, and the re-marking of parking slots in different guiding colours.

“Dubai is intensively focusing on happiness, convenience and luxury of people, and Global Village has been a key tourist destination in the Emirate over 24 years,” said Dr. Yousef Al Ali, CEO of DTC.

“DTC will not be able to achieve excellent operation and people happiness without such brilliant partnerships.”
