Don’t be surprised the next time you pick up a Pepsi can and see it completely changed, as Expo 2020 Dubai has had a huge hand in changing the brand’s design.
Created in-house by the PepsiCo design team, the cans come in three different designs, with each colour symbolising Expo 2020’s subthemes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
“We are delighted to be a premier partner of Expo 2020 Dubai and these limited-edition packages are just the beginning of PepsiCo’s participation in The World’s Greatest Show,” said CEO of PepsiCo MENA Eugene Willemsen.
“The vision of Expo 2020 and its sub-themes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability closely reflect our ‘Winning with Purpose’ agenda. We have some exciting plans in store for 2020 and look forward to revealing more in the coming months.”
Chief commercial officer of Expo 2020 Dubai Sanjive Khosla added: “We are excited to work with a partner that can carry impactful Expo-inspired imagery to generate excitement among potential visitors and encourage them to come and experience The World’s Greatest Show.”
In line with PepsiCo’s own sustainability goals, the Expo 2020 Dubai cans are fully sustainable, made from 100 percent aluminium to ensure they are recyclable.
The custom-designed cans are now available in ‘key markets’ around the globe, all to spread the word and reach the expected 25 million Expo visits next year.
