RTA’s new virtual Chat Bot launches in Dubai

Need to top up your Salik account or having burning questions that need an immediate response? The Road and Transport Authority’s (RTA) newly-launched AI assistant will help you out.

The new smart channel, Salik Virtual Assistant, is set to deliver Salik services through a Chat Bot that can respond to customer inquiries instantly and more.

In line with the UAE Strategy for artificial intelligence as well as Smart Dubai and People Happiness goals, users can recharge their accounts for Dubai’s road toll system.

Using credit card or vouchers, all users have to do is put in their registered telephone number and vehicle plate number, and they’ll easily top up.

The new system will also be to offer information about the balance of a Salik account, and if the Virtual Assistant isn’t able to sort out customer inquiries, the customer will be automatically referred to the staff to help them out instead.

RTA has also revealed its record-smashing number of public transport numbers for 2019. Check it out here.

Speaking of AI, Dubai is moving closer to transforming a quarter of all transport to be completely automated, thanks to self-driving vehicles and more.
