RTA Dubai announces free parking until Monday April 13

The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that paid public parking throughout Dubai will be free of charge for two weeks, starting from today (Tuesday March 31).

The fees will be waved for all motorists including multi-storey parking, all day throughout the week.

Dubai's residents have been urged to self-isolate and stay home unless absolutely necessary. But if you do need to go out for essential reasons, the parking will be free.

The initiative is in line with the preventative measures taken in the National Disinfection Programme, RTA stated in a Tweet.

RTA also updated the timings for all public transport, including the metro, buses and tram, extended until Sunday April 5.

Public transport will only run between 7am until 7pm, with specific timings also being announced. Check it out right here.

As part of the National Sterilisation Programme the RTA has sterilised of all 47 Dubai Metro stations, 79 metro trains, 11 tram stations and 11 Dubai Trams. To watch the UAE’s National Disinfection Programme click here.
