RTA to deliver online shopping via Dubai Taxis

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is teaming up with various online shopping platforms and companies including Union Coop Society to deliver purchases to Dubai’s citizens and residents.

Shopping will be delivered through Dubai Taxis and franchised taxis, to make online delivery quicker.

“For a smooth and fast online experience for our customers, we are partnering with various agencies and companies to deliver your purchases, by applying the highest standards of protection and safety, while ensuring non-contact during the receipt and delivery of orders,” read a statement from the RTA.

The RTA has teamed up with Dubai-based companies that have online shopping platforms in response to the growing demand for online shopping, while everyone in Dubai is urged to stay home and self isolate in light of the coronavirus outbreak.

Union Coop Society and Emirates Post are among the first to get involved with the partnership.

The RTA aims to ease the pressure on delivery services and get the public their shopping faster.
