Dubai Health Authority’s new service provides real-time support and informative updates

Dubai launches 24/7 coronavirus WhatsApp helpline

As Dubai works round the clock to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Dubai Health Authority has launched a 24-hour WhatsApp service to help provide real-time information for residents staying at home in Dubai.

The new hotline will use artificial intelligence to answer questions from the public, to help provide accurate information as soon as it’s needed. The service is designed to respond to questions specifically about the COVID-19 coronavirus, and to help users self-screen for the virus based on symptoms.

You’ll gain real-time access to official, trustworthy information, and the service is available in both English and Arabic. The Director of Customer Happiness Department at the DHA, Fatma Al Khaja, stressed the service will help correct and limit the spread of “false information and debunk rumours by providing the public with the necessary knowledge to take preventative and precautionary measures to protect themselves from COVID-19”.

The WhatsApp channel will also be used to send out informative videos and guidelines to the public with the most relevant and up-to-date information about the virus.

It will also include a live chat option with a real DHA employee, for that human touch.

To access the service, add 800432 to your contacts list, and say “Hi” on WhatsApp to initiate a session.
