Bee’ah has launched disinfection pods for businesses in a bid to tackle the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Sharjah-based integrated environmental, recycling and waste management company has created pods that can eradicate viruses on bodies and clothes in under 20 seconds.

A fine mist of diluted disinfectant is sprayed onto the person, acting as a full-body sanitiser.

The pods are already in use at Bee’ah’s facilities, and have been installed at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority building and at royal palaces.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah, said, “Bee’ah is doing everything we can to prevent, limit and contain the spread of COVID-19.

Through our new disinfection pods, we are going one step further by providing innovative solutions that protect the health and safety of our employees, and helping other businesses safeguard their own workforce.”

The disinfectants, which are non-toxic to humans and the environment, are compliant with regional and international guidelines for sterilisation.

Bee’ah has also been involved in Sharjah’s disinfection drive, with 200 Bee’ah vehicles being used for the operation.
