Dubai’s public parks are set to reopen

As of May 12, Dubai has announced a number of eased restrictions, including reopening of private beaches at hotels along with mall operating hours.

Now, the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management (SCCDM) has approved the reopening of public parks in Dubai.

The updates allows residents to enter public parks with strict enforcement of specific preventive measures. This includes making sure gatherings do not exceed five people.

Along with this, sports and recreational activities will now be permitted in open spaces for up to five people, including cycling, water sports and skydiving.

In terms of public transport, RTA Dubai’s tram and marine transport services including the Dubai ferry, water taxis, abras and car sharing services can also resume operations.

Authorities will be monitoring to make sure social distancing measures are adhered to at all times to further prevent the spread of Covid-19.
