Union Coop Dubai launches first-of-its-kind drive-through shopping service

In line with the precautionary measures set by the UAE Government over COIVD-19, Union Coop Dubai has launched an all-new drive-through shopping.

Now available at the Mirdif branch in Dubai at Etihad Mall, shoppers can get all their essential shopping without leaving their vehicle. Handy.

As for the process, customers can enter the designated area at Etihad Mall’s parking area, where they will be approached by staff to take down what they need.

The new service lets shoppers pick from more than 130 basic food and other essential products, right from their car. After shopping, they can pay through cash, card or Al Afdhal card.

"Based on the current and rapid developments witnessed by the world and the retail market in particular, Union Coop decided to implement this exceptional and new idea that contributes to increasing options for shopping methods for the community members and Union Coop consumers,” said CEO of Union Coop Khalid Humaid bin Diban Al Falasi.

"We offer traditional shopping service in the showrooms, a shopper valet service, online shopping and shopping from the vehicle in Mirdif branch."

The drive-thru will be open from 10am until 10pm from Saturday to Wednesday and until midnight from Thursday to Friday. Current restrictions during Eid al-Fitr require people to be in their homes from 8pm, though these are expected to change after Eid.
