Buffets can reopen in Dubai, but with strict health and safety measures

Buffets in Dubai are now allowed to reopen, although in a slightly different format than before.

Restaurants in Dubai are now permitted to serve buffets, but strict health and measures must be in place.

There must be strict social distancing measures of two metres in queues, with queues managed strictly by restaurant staff. Dishes must be served by waiting staff (canteen-style) or to the guest’s table – no self-service is allowed.

There must be no sharing or touching of serving utensils, while drinks will be delivered to the table.

As Dubai gradually eases restrictions there are lots of changes to be aware of.

Age restrictions have now been lifted across the city, with kids and adults over 60 able to visit Dubai’s malls and restrictions (for more on that, click here).

Dubai's 3D and 4D cinemas are also now open, as are waterparks, swimming pools, museums and beaches.
