Michelin-starred celebrity chef Daniel Boulud to open his first restaurant in Dubai

Fans of French cuisine are in for a treat as a new fine-dining French restaurant is set to open in Dubai.

Brasserie Boulud – from Michelin-starred celebrity chef Daniel Boulud – will be opening in Sofitel Dubai Wafi later this year.

Boulud has a number of top restaurant across the globe, including two Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel in New York, and Brasserie Boulud will be his first restaurant in the Middle East.

Inspired by the French way of life, Brasserie Boulud will serve French-inspired contemporary cuisine. The restaurant will also have an art-deco theme, an open kitchen and live entertaining during the weekend.

At the helm of Brasserie Boulud will be French chef Nicolas Lemoyne. With more than 15 years of experience under his belt (or should we say chef’s apron), Lemoyne is promising to bring a new French experience to Dubai’s booming dining scene.

The menu is inspired by the different seasons and highlights include melon soup with shrimp and lemongrass, homemade duck and foie gras rillettes (which is similar to pâté), a terrine of spiced lamb with aubergine, French dover sole, and the signature Brasserie Boulud burger with a tomato confit.

If you have a sweet tooth, desserts will include apricot clafoutis with pistachios and a chocolate tarte with raspberries.

Other dining options at the soon-to-open Sofitel Dubai Wafi include Taiko – an award-winning restaurant from Amsterdam, British gastropub The Nine and hotel lobby lounge Bijou Patisserie.
