Dry night confirmed for Dubai tonight

A dry night has been confirmed for Dubai, beginning tonight.

Dubai will be dry for the night from 6.30pm today (Wednesday July 29) until 7.30pm tomorrow (Thursday July 30).

This means that bars and restaurants across Dubai will not be serving any beverages other than soft drinks. There will also be no entertainment activities or parties.

The dry night falls ahead of the Eid weekend, for which public sector holidays have been announced. Public sector employees will see the Eid Al-Adha holiday fall from Thursday July 30 until Sunday August 2, with work resuming on Monday August 3.

The next public holiday in Dubai is Islamic New Year, on Sunday August 23.
