Coffee brand Southpour, by the people behind Pickl, opens in Dubai

We always need more coffee shops in this city

A new coffee shop bringing the cosy aesthetics of a cool East London café has opened its first store in Dubai.

Southpour has opened its first branch in City Walk right next to homegrown favourite burger joint Pickl.

The new shop claims it will reshape the locally roasted coffee scene with the reigning barista of the year Maverick Santos leading the way on their signature blends.

There’s also more to Southpour than just coffee with homemade juices and freshly baked daily pastries also on the menu.

Yolk Brands, the same hospitality group behind the widely successful Pickl, BonBird and 1762 Deli, is behind the new coffee venture.

The new venue has both indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of City Walk which makes it a nice little spot to meet up with friends or get some work done.

Southpour’s coffee beans will be traceable back to farms in Ethiopia and Uganda before being blended right here in Dubai.

The City Walk venue will give people a lovely view of the Burj Khalifa and the Coca-Cola Arena.

If you’re not able to swing by City Walk then the next venue at Dubai Festival City Mall might be more up your street or, failing that, you can get it delivered on Deliveroo or Talabat.
