This city always surprises us.
Seemingly out of nowhere, a brand new foodie destination popped up in the heart of DIFC. Located adjacent to Emirates Towers, is a secret garden that is home to High Joint and its spin-off concept, The Phil by High.

The new secret location, known as High at the Towers, is a peaceful garden area that is home to food trucks and intimate little spots to sit and enjoy High Joint’s newly launched breakfast menu, as well as its popular burgers.
Described by Time Out Dubai as “Dubai’s tiniest burger joint,” the OG High Joint in Al Manara has seating for just eight people. However, that hasn’t stopped the brand from becoming one of the emirate’s most popular burger brands.
Time Out Dubai was given a sneak peek at the new destination which is now officially open to the public… If they can find it.
We sat down with High Joint founder Hamad Al Awar about the new venue and all the big plans he has.
He said: “We want to create a foodie oasis where we could bring in our food concepts and have plenty of space to bring other food concepts. I lived in the UK and US and I’ve been to many food markets and food truck destinations. I believe that these places should give you the opportunity to discover new things. We want to give people one-off experiences.”
According to Al Awar, over the next two to three weeks, the space will be completely transformed into something totally different and unique to Dubai. He added: “In addition to High Joint and The Phil by High, we will make sure that this area will also have a spot for a hot chocolate kiosk, a place to enjoy a waffle, and much more.”
The area will also feature rotating food concepts that will keep changing every month to give people in Dubai plenty of variety.
The area will also feature classes, podcasts and much more. Parking is free and there is ample space available.
High Joint’s new breakfast menu
The breakfast menu was launched to celebrate the new opening at High at the Towers. The breakfast menu features a fantastic sourdough grilled cheese with beef bacon jam, avocado on toast with poached eggs and pink hollandaise sauce, and two breakfast sliders, including one with a fried egg and sausage beef patty, while the other is a shakshouka sandwich. Then there’s the steak benedict and the salmon benedict.
Al Awar’s favourite dish… The Turkish eggs, which are made with za’atar and labneh. “So creamy and full of flavour,” he added.
As for the sweet breakfasts, High Joint serves PB&J pancakes, lotus pancakes and a simple stack drizzled with maple syrup and butter for the purists out there. While adventurous eaters can try the karak french toast, infused with the locally heralded milky tea.
Head down to enjoy an outdoor breakfast spot that you won’t want to leave.
High Joint is open for breakfast from 7am. The secret garden is located on the right-hand side once you enter the Emirates Towers gate across from the underground parking. Take the first right, and then another right to enter the parking lot.
Daily from 7am, Jumeirah Emirates Towers Gardens, Dubai
