How to pay for parking in Dubai Mall (and no cards or coins needed)

Here’s what you need to know

Starting from July 1, Dubai Mall is introducing a paid parking system for all of its shoppers and visitors.

Changing to the new operations in less than two weeks time, it’s important that you know how to pay for parking in Dubai Mall – to avoid being caught out.

Although complimentary for the first 4 hours on weekdays and 6 hours on weekends, after that you will need to make a payment.

However, long gone are the days of finding some coins for the meter or trailing around the car park to find somewhere to validate your ticket.

Ensuring a seamless experience for residents, Dubai Mall have partnered with Salik, meaning that the charge, if applicable, will be made on your Salik account.

Yes, how to pay for parking in Dubai Mall has been made easy.

For drivers, this means the payment will be deducted from your Salik balance, just as it is when you pass underneath a Salik toll gate. This means to park in the mall, you must have an active Salik tag and account.

If you need to purchase a Salik tag you can do so on salik.ae, or at most UAE petrol stations.

Detecting your car in one of the paid parking zones at Dubai Mall, you can drive in and out without having to wait at the barrier.

The new paid parking system at Dubai Mall applies to Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking, while Zabeel and Fountain Views parking locations will remain complimentary.
