Reform Social & Grill in The Lakes is hosting a one-off special music event.
On Thursday June 15, Motown Magic with Emma Ochia is taking place at the family-friendly pub. The evening will run from 7pm until 10pm and showcase Motown’s famed rhythm and blues songs.
Entry costs Dhs299 and includes fruity mixed drinks and canapés throughout the performance.
Fans can expect to hear songs by Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye sung by Emma Ochia during the evening. With a master’s in musical performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Ochia has also performed the part of Deloris in Sister Act at the King’s Theatre.
During the Thursday evening event, she will be singing her way through Motown Records’ top hits.
Motown Records is an American label that was founded in 1958. It became known for signing soul musicians who made records with universal appeal. Artists signed to the label include Diana Ross and The Supremes, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and more.
