The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced this year’s Ramadan working hours for the public sector.
This year public sector employees will work from 9am until 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday and from 9am until midday on Fridays.
The authority says that ministries and federal agencies are allowed to continue to work flexible or remote schedules during Ramadan.
Employees will also be granted the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays during the month as long as no more than 70 percent of the entity’s total number of employees do so.
The FAHR made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) which can be seen below.

Ramadan in Dubai began officially on Monday March 11, with the official confirmation from the UAE government based on moon sightings by UAE astronomers.
During Ramadan, Muslims are required to elevate their level of spiritual and physical submission to their faith by way of fasting.
The abstention from eating and drinking is intended to last from dawn until dusk throughout the 29 or 30-day period.
