Scottish rock band Simple Minds will take to Coca-Cola Arena’s stage in City Walk next year.
The group, Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, Gordy Goudie, Ged Grimes, Cherisse Osei and Sarah Brown, will perform on Tuesday February 27 as part of their Global Tour.
Fans wanting to mosh to hits such as Don’t You Forget About Me, Mandela Day and Belfast Child can snap up tickets now.
Starting from Dhs195 and on sale via the Coca-Cola Arena website, the band that formed in the seventies will perform for one night only.
Named after a lyric – ‘so simple minded’ – from David Bowie’s seminal 1972 single The Jean Genie, Simple Minds have become one of the most successful bands ever to come from the UK, selling over 60 million records worldwide, having number one singles on both sides of the Atlantic, and number one albums the world over, including five UK number one albums: Sparkle In The Rain (1984), Once Upon A Time (1985) and Street Fighting Years as well as the concert recording Live In The City Of Light (1987) and the compilation Glittering Prize 81/92.
They have lots to boast about with being given a Q Awards Lifetime Achievement and have received universal critical acclaim for their recent albums.
