The Irish Village is offering Dhs27 drinks to celebrate its 27th birthday

Plus, there will be live music, a bouncy castle and lrish dancers

Believe it or not, The Irish Village is turning 27 years old next month.

Yes, the stalwart was one of the first pubs in the city. It opened its doors in Garhoud back in 1996 and is now an institution for both old-timers and newcomers in Dubai.

To celebrate its birthday, the beloved Irish pub is throwing a party from morning to night (11am to 1am).

On Sunday November 5 the Garhoud location will be selling house beverages for Dhs27 and putting on entertainment for the whole family.

There will be a bouncy castle, petting zoo, kids play area and Irish dancers. Setting the party mood, there will be live music will be provided by Jukebox Money and DJ Michael Gormley.

The day before the party, the pub is hosting a ’90s music festival, LOADED.

The line-up includes Dodgy, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Stereo MC and Toploader – so you can expect to hear nostalgic tunes including Dancing in the Moonlight. DJ Andy Buchan will also be on the decks.

The show starts at 7pm – with tickets, available at The Irish Village and 800 Tickets, costing Dhs175.  

Squeezed under the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, the 27-year-old pub boasts a huge enclosed garden area that is usually full of regulars. It’s so popular in fact, that it even has a gift shop on site.
