Ali Campbell in Dubai

Former UB40 frontman to play at Irish Village

Once upon a time, Ali Campbell was performing to 60,000 people in Pretoria, South Africa. Now he’s playing second-fiddle to the Champions League semi final at The Irish Village on a Wednesday night. But rather than dwell on how the mighty have fallen, let’s not forget that thanks to his time fronting British dub/reggae band UB40 (yes, reggae band), Ali has some cracking tracks up his sleeve, including ‘One in Ten’, ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’, and ‘Higher Ground’. If nothing else, expect a merry night of singalong feelgood hits, and a great way to welcome in the last day of the working week.

Ali Campbell performs at The Irish Village on Wednesday April 27.
