Arthur's Day party

Head to Irish Village for tribute to inventor of the black stuff

Celebrate the invention of the famous Irish black stuff at this family-friendly knees-up: a tribute to Arthur Guinness, who brought the eponymous beverage to the world in 1759. It may only be in its third year, but this annual party (kicked off by brewery owner Diageo Plc to celebrate its 250th year in 2009) is already cropping up on calendars around the world. At The IV, U2 tribute band ZU2 will be performing to entertain the crowds, and the black stuff will be available half price from 3.59pm to 5.59pm.

The Arthur’s Day party is at The Irish Village on Thursday September 22.
