Roots Manuva

New album 4everevolition reviewed

Rodney Smith has made a marked but natural swerve on his fifth LP, possibly encouraged to stray from his distinctive take on soulful, sharp-rhyming hip hop by the success of hybrid popsters such as Toddla T (who had first dibs on the terrific ‘Watch Me Dance’). As RM says it, ‘suavay’.
