Aslan

Dublin band to play at the Irish Village

Taking their name from the heroic lion in CS Lewis’s fictional land of Narnia, Aslan are a band who can claim to have really stepped through the magical wardrobe. Growing up in rough areas of Dublin’s Northside, they emerged in the early ’80s to become one of Ireland’s biggest rock bands. Preparing to celebrate their 30th anniversary together next year, expect a celebratory mood – and legions of loyal followers – at this up-close-and-personal free gig.
Free. Saturday November 19, 8pm. The Irish Village, Garhoud (04 282 4750).
