UAE violinist Hamami fulfilled a lifelong dream when he assembled the Sharq Orchestra for the first time in 2008, to perform a mix of classical and modern Arabic music. Since then he’s got the group back together a number of times, but this special gig will see him augmented by Syrian-born, Lebanon-based oud player Charbel Rouhana, whose studio albums have made him one of the region’s most respected practitioners of the beautiful Arabic stringed instrument.
