Emma Falkenstrom

Another super-gorgeous Bareface model talks to Time Out about her favourite nights out, top tunes, and life in Dubai.

My favourite night

My favourite regular night is...
I don’t really have a favourite. Deep, 360°, Prestige Clubbing – they all bring out excellent DJs and throw great parties. Really looking forward to The RoofTop reopening – I’ve really missed it.

Where I go for.... a big night out.
I love the outdoor venues such as 360°, Sho Cho, Barasti and Chi. But my favourite here in Dubai has to be The RoofTop! I’m a big fan of outdoor clubbing, it’s one of the biggest pluses of living in Dubai. Where else can you party under the stars all year round?

...a more sedate chat.
Centimetro, Bar 44, Kubar... I love the chic, boutique-style bars for a quiet drink, and these have such stunning views, it’s easy to forget the madness of Dubai for a while.

...purely for the music.
The RoofTop or 360°. You always hear something a little different at 360°, and it’s always party time on the roof. But I’m not that fussy about the music, as long as its not too hard, and easily danced to.

...any other reason I can think of!
Food, of course! Nina’s, Meat Company and Pad Thai – three of Dubai’s best restaurants, oh, and Frankie’s – you can’t beat a midweek night at Frankie’s with friends.

My favourite music is...
Funky, vocal disco house all the way! And a little bit of electro every now and then. I never really got into R&B or hip hop, so I tend to only go to the house clubs, like 360°, The RoofTop and Chi.

My best night out in Dubai was...
This time last year, Kurd Maverik at Deep. I can’t really say why it was so good – it was just one of those nights where everything worked and the whole place was rocking. He was playing really funky tunes, and there was a great, good-time crowd going bonkers the whole night.

My worst night out in Dubai was...
I can’t remember – I just know I felt really bad in the morning. I think it involved Sho Cho, Boudoir and an after-party...

Generally, I think that Dubai’s nightlife scene is...
Excellent; I love it. I just wish people would go out earlier and not wait until midnight! And we’re starting to need more venues too! But it’s nice to see new club nights opening and more and more people seem to be going out, too – I always see loads of new faces.
